Indo!

Indonesia!! We've been here for a couple days now, with our wonderful friend leading a a tour guide. We're not in a touristy area, so it is really nice to have someone with us who is more local. The streets are cray. Yesterday we hiked to a beautiful waferfall and got to climb up part of it an swim around. It was amazing! People look at us white folk as if we are celebrities. Many peeps ask to take pix with us. Goin to a more re ote area starting today, so might not have wifi. This is all from my iPod. Mis y'all! Peace

Thurs

Friday Jungle trek Hopped into a van in the morning and met a bunch of Europeans from England, Scotland, and France. Got to swim under a waterfall, ride an elephant in the jungle, take a bamboo ride down a river.  Our river guide tried to scare us with snakes and tip our bamboo raft many times. He was hilarious!

Getting to Thailand!!!

Hello friends! I was shocked to discover that the dinky (not hotel or hostel, cheaper) has wifi close to it! Because of this, I will tell ya a bit about my first day[ish] of travelling! Josiah and I got to SFO a few hours before our 1:40am flight on May 13th, to leave on the 14th. We flew on a 13 hour flight to Taipe, hung out for 3 hours, flew to Bangkok, hung for 3, then madebit to Chiang Mai, Thailand, where myself, Josiah, Dan Ryan and our local friend Eric are now. A couple things from today: our first taste of Thai food was in the BKK airport, and we had coconut water with straws right out of the coconut and a banana. They were both so great! For dinner, we checked out a market of street vendors and got some delicious, spicy Thai food. Everything was great! After dinner, we walked through a Bazaar, a outdoor shopping market. We did some haggling for some fun items! So far, the people are friendly, it's super hot an humid, the city is beautiful, and I haven't slept in days! Hopefully more to come, maybe pix! Miss you all. Until then, sleep!
